New York Personal Injury Settlements and Verdicts

Plaintiff was a thirty-three-year-old woman who slipped and fell on a wet staircase in a residential building in Manhattan. She required surgery of her left hip, right hip and right shoulder.

Our client, a 38-year-old woman, went into induced labor and suffered severe hip, spine, and neck injuries after she fell on a wet and slippery staircase in her building, requiring surgery and rehabilitation. The defendants had argued that they neither created nor had notice of the staircase’s wet conditions, and they disputed whether they were required to cover all floors with mats or continuously remove all moisture tracked onto the stairs. We were prepared to call medical and economic witnesses to demonstrate the extensive impact of our client’s injuries on her daily life.

Plaintiff was a forty-five-year-old woman who slipped and fell in the lobby of the New York Housing Authority building, on a recently mopped floor.  She required surgery on her right ankle, right hip and spine.
