In this video, New York Personal Injury Attorney David Resnick addresses one of the most frequent questions clients ask: "Is this case going to go to trial?"

We explain why preparing every single case as if it is going to a jury verdict—by retaining top medical experts and economists, thoroughly investigating the scene, and locating witnesses—is actually the key to getting insurance companies to settle. Learn how proving to the defense that you are ready and willing to take a verdict forces them to make settlement offers that reflect the true long-term value of your injuries.

📲 Follow us:
► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DavidResnickLaw/
► Twitter: https://twitter.com/injurylawyernyc
► LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nyinjuryattorney/
► Yelp: https://www.yelp.com/biz/david-resnick-and-associates-pc-new-york-2

📍 David Resnick & Associates, P.C.
450 7th Ave #409
New York, NY 10123
📞 (212) 279-2000
🌐 https://www.injuryclaimnyclaw.com/

#personalinjurylawyer #newyorklawyer #personalinjurysettlement #nyctriallawyer #davidresnicklaw #injurylaw

FULL VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

David Resnick: Very often during a case, I'll get a question from one of my clients which is, "Is this case going to go to trial, Mr. Resnick?"

David Resnick: My answer is always the same: We prepare every case as if it's going to trial.

David Resnick: That means retaining experts. It means doing an incredible job at investigating. It means finding witnesses that most other law firms won't find. It means spending as much money as the other side and even more than the other side.

David Resnick: Quite often we have a client that is injured, and they're seriously injured, but then at some point over the course of litigation, they begin to feel better. And more often than not, what I've learned in my experience is they may feel better, but their pain going away doesn't mean that they're necessarily healed 100%.

David Resnick: So what we do is we hire an expert that examines our client and determines whether they anticipate any type of future medical expenses that they're going to need. We anticipate that over the next 30 or 40 years of their life, they may require additional medical treatment. What we do is we list that medical treatment with the present-day costs, and then we hire an additional expert called an economist to figure out what those costs will be over the next 30 years, taking into consideration that medical expenses get more expensive over the years, as we know.

David Resnick: Most of the cases settle because you prepare the case to take a verdict. When the other side sees that you're prepared to take a verdict, they settle, because they realize they can see what's going to happen if they go to trial—they're going to lose. Once someone steps in on the other side and says, "What are we doing here? We're going to spend $50,000 to lose? Let's make them an offer that they can't refuse."

David Resnick: So I always tell my clients: "Oh, it may go to trial, and we're preparing the case to go to trial. But in the back of my mind, I know that 90% of the time, 99% of the time, the case is going to end up settling at some point."
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/4Zg762NN5bI/default.jpg","https://i.ytimg.com/vi/4Zg762NN5bI/mqdefault.jpg","https://i.ytimg.com/vi/4Zg762NN5bI/hqdefault.jpg","https://i.ytimg.com/vi/4Zg762NN5bI/sddefault.jpg","https://i.ytimg.com/vi/4Zg762NN5bI/maxresdefault.jpg","https://i.ytimg.com/vi/4Zg762NN5bI/fhddefault.jpg
{"@type":"Organization","@id":"https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdbSoi4Cq6fpUOtJjqQAb5g#Organization
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdbSoi4Cq6fpUOtJjqQAb5g
David Resnick & Associates, P.C.
Why Do You Need An Attorney?Contact Our New York Personal Injury Attorneys
Whether you’ve been hurt in a New York car accident, a slip & fall, or a construction accident, every New York Personal Injury Lawyer at the law firm of David Resnick & Associates, P.C. is committed to helping you with your legal needs.

David Resnick, the firm’s founder and a New York Personal Injury Lawyer, believes that strong client relationships, built on trust and communication, are the keys to success.
