Following the accident, she was confined to rehabilitation services for several months and required surgery to repair the tears in both hips.The injuries limited the woman\u2019s ability to perform daily living activities, including walking, bending, and sitting. She also could not complete regular household chores, sit or stand for long periods, or enjoy her usual activities with her children.According to the law firm, the building owner and managing agent contended that the fall occurred during an ongoing period of snow and cold-weather precipitation, and they were not required to cover all floors with mats or continuously remove all moisture tracked onto the stairs.
